Whenever I stand up, You’re with me…
Day 3 and 4, 12th & 13th December 2007
Well, I’m a bit lazy to type out separate posts, so I’ll just compile both of them into 1 post. Too much stuff happening around to blog separately. Still got a few more posts to complete.
Anyway, Day 3 was the same routine. Woke up for breakfast, and had fear factor at the same time.

These were the top 5 finalist.
In order for them to get to the finals, which consisted of the top 2 finalist, they had to go through 2 tasks. The first tasks required the top 5 finalists to carry very slippery eels with their hands and to put them in a bucket, which wasn’t very far away. Yet, it was tricky due to the fact that the eels were slippery and didn’t like being carried out of the water.
It was fun to see, but yet I was thankful I wasn’t sitting in the front row as the eels kept slipping from the contestants’ hands and one of them even fell among the audience.
Anyway, second task as you can see from the above picture, was for each contestant to select a person they trust, and their friend would have to chew up watermelon into juice, and fill up to a certain level before the contestants had to drink it down. Disgusting, no? xD

In between, they had side shows while calculating the results. Some girl volunteers had to dig through a tank of maggots without using their hands in order to obtain a key.
The above picture shows the 2nd round of the side show, with those volunteers having to down 10 maggots each. Apparently some said it tasted like chicken. =P All participants who completed the task were given a free CD. xD
Anyway, as Pastor Phil Stevenson came up to speak, he made an offer to the audience, if anyone would pay them RM10 to eat some maggots. They collected quite an amount, which went to the Youth Alive Malaysia fund. = )

Pastor Mike’s expression was hilarious. Hahaha. Priceless actually.
Anyway, some random pictures.

The pool side. Very bad quality. =P

Some random pictures of the futsal competition.

Pastor Clement(In the Arsenal tee) all ready for action.

The view from the balcony. Not much, but yet still scenic.

Night sessions commencing. Led by the YAM band again. Awesome.
The final day was tiring. Slept close to 3am the night before, and woke up at close to 9am, freezing my butts off again. Rushed to breakfast, and everyone had those really black bags under their eyes. Last session was great as usual.
Sessions ended as late as 2pm due to the prayer tunnel. Had lunch, and left at 3-ish. Reached back at Cheras at around 8.30pm. Then had dinner at McD’s, and rushed off to church for practice.
God really moved this time, and true to me asking Him to touch me and to speak to me, it was even more evident. Now I know more than ever where I’m headed. There was a real healing from pains of the past, and thank God that He loves me. There were some personal issues which He spoke to me, but it really was awesome.
One thing’s for sure. He put a real desire in my heart, that no matter how ’small’ our youth is now, we’ll grow. He gave me that passion again to rise up, and to be the one to lead, instead of waiting around, hoping for miracles to happen, or for other people to take the first step.
Onward…
Matt
PS: Next post, the year 2007 in review, and also the Christmas Musical Dinner, which was a HUGE success by the way.
